Teacher's Guide
The Teacher's Guide contains everything a teacher needs to deliver the Grade Three (2nd Edition) Program. Easy-to-follow blueprints include brief instructions for each activity, suggested timings, required materials and ideas for more support and challenge.
5 Day Unit Plan
Each unit follows the same basic pattern and daily activities:
Day 1 – Introduce word meaning and structure
Day 2 – Focus on word structure and spelling
Day 3 – Explore vocabulary and the meaning of words
Day 4 – Students apply their learning and concepts of the unit
Day 5 – Spelling and vocabulary are assessed
Teaching Time
Teaching activities for each day are designed for 20-30 minute whole class sessions. Independent activities can be completed at a convenient time or as homework.
Practice Books
The student resource – Grade Three Practice – has two pages per unit. It includes the Word lists, Word Sorts, Quick Coding, Unit Passages and writing activities.
