Intervention 1 is specifically designed to provide rigorous, highly effective, small group instruction to students struggling with foundational literacy skills in Grades K-2. Grounded in the latest intervention research, and aligned with Letterland's award-winning Kindergarten and Grade One curriculum, it is optimally designed for both strategic and intensive instruction either as part of the Letterland program or as a stand-alone intervention.

Teacher's Guide
The Teachers Guide contains everything a teacher needs to deliver the Intervention 1 (2nd Edition) Program. It contains instruction for screening, placement, and diagnosis as well as easy-to-follow blueprints.
Blueprints
The Blueprints provide daily lesson frameworks with step-by-step activities, materials lists, and ideas for support or challenge. Tier 2 Blueprints allow lessons to be repeated with a focus on blending or segmenting, while Tier 3 offers more intensive instruction for students needing additional progress.
Monitoring Progress
Checkpoints and Lesson logs allow you to monitor progress daily and help determine readiness to move to the next unit. Section assessments are used as needed for diagnosis of specific needs and to track longer term retention and fluency.
